DAO Galleries is an umbrella organisation, using collaboration to disrupt the traditional art world.

Based on the D.A.O (distributed autonomous organisation) concept in Web 3.0 to create a level equity group of galleries, curator’s and artists.

Anchored in concept of  “twinning” physical art  and digital such as NFTs to allow different entry points to high end art collecting.

NFTs have had a bad reputation due to their volatility and use as a crypto assets class. We at DAO Galleries view NFTs simply as tracked digital assets, in other words, limited edition authenticated digital prints. They are particularly useful for digitally based artists, video and performance artists to share their work.

Patrons have collected prints for hundreds of years, digital prints are just a continuation of that history

DAO Galleries was founded in 2022 as a collaborative initiative to encourage small galleries to share artists and exhibitions globally using AR/ VR and projection enabling a lessening of environmental costs within international exhibitions and art fairs.

 

The initial joint exhibition was the "Light is Life" exhibition in 2023, a collaboration between Not For Sale Gallery in London UK, Silence Gallery in Beruit Lebanon and Bermudez Projects in California USA.
